Let's see....

Since my post last Friday, we went back to our normal, every day routine. We did change one thing and it has been the best thing we have done in a long time. We have started doing devotions every night with Buddy. He has his own Bible now (a real one ;-)) and devotion book. Yall, I have gotten something out of the devotions every night. The other night, the devotion was talking about the Book of Life and he asked if his name was in it. See, I know that his Royal Ranger teachers said he said the prayer a few months ago, but I just didn't know for sure if he understood what he did, so I explained everything to him and he said he wanted to ask Jesus in his heart, so he did! It was so sweet to lead my little boy to the Lord. After all these years of praying with other kids, it was my turn to do it with my own! He seems to enjoy the family time every night and tonight he even read the scriptures from his Bible!

I can't believe my little boy is getting so big and grown up! His first basketball game is this weekend! Maybe I will be able to share some video next week :-)

Wednesday, I went to an orthodontist appointment for what I thought was going to be just a consult. I walked away with spacers and an appointment to get braces next Thursday! To say I was in shock was an understatement. This is something I have wanted for SO LONG! I think it is going to make a major change in my life. I will finally start smiling for pictures! Shoot, after I get through paying for my smile, that's probably all you are ever going to see me do! The spacers have been painful, but I know the reward will come in the end.
